How it connects

  • Connected once for the workspace, by an owner.
  • You paste your restricted API key from Stripe; it's stored encrypted.
  • It syncs once a day. With the optional webhook signing secret added, changes arrive as they happen.

What customers do in your product, what they pay and what they ask support, on the account's timeline.

Connect it

  1. In Closefinch, open Settings → Integrations and find Stripe under its category.
  2. Choose Stripe and paste your restricted API key.
  3. It syncs once a day. With the optional webhook signing secret added, changes arrive as they happen. You can pause it or disconnect at any time.

What the form asks for

  • Restricted API key: Stripe → Developers → API keys → restricted key with read access to Customers, Charges, Invoices and Subscriptions (and Products and Prices for the quote catalog). To write signed quotes to Stripe (Quotes → Billing), also give it Write on Customers, Subscriptions and Invoices.
  • Webhook signing secret (optional): After you add this connection's webhook URL in Stripe → Developers → Webhooks, paste the whsec_… secret Stripe shows. Without it, webhooks are rejected and only the daily pull runs.
