# Stripe

Customers, invoices, subscriptions and refunds.

Part of [Product, billing and support signals](https://www.closefinch.com/integrations#signals). What customers do in your product, what they pay and what they ask support, on the account's timeline.

## How it connects

- Connected once for the workspace, by an owner.
- You paste your restricted API key from Stripe; it's stored encrypted.
- It syncs once a day. With the optional webhook signing secret added, changes arrive as they happen.

## Connect it

1. In Closefinch, open Settings → Integrations and find Stripe under its category.
2. Choose Stripe and paste your restricted API key.
3. It syncs once a day. With the optional webhook signing secret added, changes arrive as they happen. You can pause it or disconnect at any time.

What the form asks for:

- Restricted API key: Stripe → Developers → API keys → restricted key with read access to Customers, Charges, Invoices and Subscriptions (and Products and Prices for the quote catalog). To write signed quotes to Stripe (Quotes → Billing), also give it Write on Customers, Subscriptions and Invoices.
- Webhook signing secret (optional): After you add this connection's webhook URL in Stripe → Developers → Webhooks, paste the whsec_… secret Stripe shows. Without it, webhooks are rejected and only the daily pull runs.

Nothing an agent sends out through a connection goes without Closefinch's policy checks and, by default, a person's approval. Every integration: [https://www.closefinch.com/integrations](https://www.closefinch.com/integrations).
