Quickstart: ChatGPT

You need: a ChatGPT plan that allows custom connectors (developer mode), and a Closefinch account.

1. Add the connector. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps and connectors → Advanced, turn on developer mode, and create a connector with the server URL https://api.closefinch.com/mcp.
2. Sign in. ChatGPT registers itself (RFC 7591) and opens Closefinch's consent screen. You choose what it may do. Self-registered apps are marked "not verified" and get capped scopes; you can disconnect it under Settings → Connected apps. ChatGPT can't connect with a key; for a key, use Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
3. Check it. In a chat with the connector on, ask "Who am I in Closefinch?"

Approving actions stays in the Closefinch app or Slack, never in the chat.
