Demo prep for solutions engineers

Before a demo: a timed, role-aware run-of-show mapped to what the buyer asked to see, a talk track, proof points, the objections they raised with responses from your knowledge base, an environment checklist and a fallback path. It changes nothing and invites no one.

What it's for

Every demo shows what this buyer asked to see, to the people in the room, and survives a broken environment.

  • Solutions engineers
  • Founders running their own demos

What you get

  • Timed run-of-show by role
  • Talk track and proof points
  • Objections with responses
  • Environment checklist
  • Fallback path
  • Discovery questions

When it runs

  • When you run it
  • A day before a demo

What it uses

  • Your Closefinch records

When you run it yourself, you choose (an event fills these in):

  • Deal
  • Meeting (optional) (optional)

Its steps

  1. Read the deal
  2. Deal conversations
  3. Product knowledge
  4. Plan the demo · the model works this out

Approvals

Read-only: it writes nothing, changes no demo environment and invites no one.

Checked before release

The template's eval suite must pass these before a version ships:

  • The run-of-show follows the buyer's asks
  • Timed, role-aware segments with a checklist and a fallback

Questions

Where do objection answers come from?
Your knowledge base (Knowledge → products, proof points, positioning): keep those sections current and the handling stays accurate.
  • Meeting prep brief

Before a call, reads the account's records, recent conversations and saved facts and writes a short cited brief.

  • Meeting assistant

Owns a meeting end to end: a prep a day before, a reminder 30 minutes before, the notes, tasks and drafted follow-up after, and three days later a check of which commitments were kept — with what slipped sent to you.
