Slack search
The assistant searches Slack as you, with your own permissions, at question time.
How it connects
- Each person connects their own account.
- You sign in to Slack search and approve the permissions it asks for (listed below). We never see your password, and the access it grants is stored encrypted.
- Nothing is copied in: it's read when an agent or the assistant needs it.
Conversations from channels and Slack Connect land on the right account. Alerts, approvals and deal rooms work in Slack too.
Connect it
- In Closefinch, open Settings → Integrations and find Slack search under its category, marked Personal.
- Choose Slack search and sign in to it, then approve the permissions it asks for.
- Nothing is copied in: it's read when an agent or the assistant needs it. You can pause it or disconnect at any time.
