# Slack

Channel and thread capture, Slack Connect, alerts, two-way agent chat and deal rooms.

Part of [Slack](https://www.closefinch.com/integrations#chat). Conversations from channels and Slack Connect land on the right account. Alerts, approvals and deal rooms work in Slack too.

## How it connects

- Connected once for the workspace, by an owner.
- You sign in to Slack and approve the permissions it asks for (listed below). We never see your password, and the access it grants is stored encrypted.
- Changes arrive as they happen, and it also checks on a schedule.

## Connect it

1. In Closefinch, open Settings → Integrations and find Slack under its category.
2. Choose Slack and sign in to it, then approve the permissions it asks for.
3. Changes arrive as they happen, and it also checks on a schedule. You can pause it or disconnect at any time.

- `groups:history`
- `channels:read`
- `groups:read`

Nothing an agent sends out through a connection goes without Closefinch's policy checks and, by default, a person's approval. Every integration: [https://www.closefinch.com/integrations](https://www.closefinch.com/integrations).
