# Website and app events

A first-party JavaScript snippet for page views and product events.

## How it connects

- Connected once for the workspace, by an owner.
- Your site's snippet sends events with a public write key, and only the origins you list are accepted. The key is visible in your page, so these events are signals, not proof of who sent them.
- Events arrive as visitors use your site or app.

## Connect it

1. In Closefinch, open Settings → Integrations and find Website and app events under its category.
2. Choose Website and app events and copy the snippet it shows.
3. Add the snippet to your site or app, and list your site's origins in the connection's settings.
4. Events arrive as visitors use your site or app. You can pause it or disconnect at any time.
